Picture the scene. You've been anticipating your arrival at your home in France probably since the last time you left it. Total relaxation, beauty and peace. But you could be wrong.

Any property left empty for several weeks or months at a time is potentially at risk. There are always at least three severe storms in this region every year which can cause damage. You wouldn't want to arrive to find uprooted trees, a nasty smell because of a blocked septic tank, tiles off roofs, burst pipes and to top the lot your swimming pool has turned a delicate shade of green. Or you could even find that in the absence of human habitation the mice have moved in.

Here at Le Sommet Services, we aren't usually harbingers of doom infected as we are by the feel good factor of living in south west France, but we are realistic. And we can provide solutions.

Property maintenance and household tasks are forever ongoing. How do you know when to stop? There's the grass to be cut, the kitchen to be repainted, the terrace to be repointed. On the other hand the summer sun is shining, there is lazy outdoor living to be enjoyed, not to mention dining al fresco. Feeling bad? We can help...

 

Security Services

We will make regular security visits to your property at your request. Maybe you will require more visits in the winter especially after a spell of icy weather. Or you may ask us always to make an emergency visit after a severe storm. Our visits include:
  • A thorough check of your property both inside and out
  • Reporting to you after each visit
  • Carrying out any special requirements like forwarding mail or taking utility readings

Before your and/or the arrival of your guests

  • Clean, air and prepare your home

  • Ward off starvation by providing essential supplies of wine, bread, cheese, milk, tea coffee and if you like even more wine. Call us or e-mail us on ls.service@nordnet.fr 24 hours in advance of your arrival to let us know your requirements

  • If you need collecting and returning from and/or to airports in particular, Pau, Toulouse, Carcassone or Biarritz we're the best taxi service we know (maximum 4 passengers)

Garden Maintenance Services

  • Cut grass on a regular basis
  • Weed borders, paths and terraces
  • Prune and trim

Pool Services

  • Prepare and clean pool at beginning of the summer season
  • Check water quality during the season not less than once each week and to make any necessary adjustments to ensure safe bathing
  • Close pool at the end of the season and prepare for winter
  • Obtain quotations from pool professionals in the event of a serious problem

Repairs and Decorations

Should you require work to be done to your property during your absence we can:
  • Carry out essential repairs and small maintenance work
  • Paint and decorate as required

Guide Prices

Prices for all services are from 15€ per hour.

For more significant maintenance tasks we have a host of artisans both English and French we can call on to provide quotations and carry out the work to a high standard. Please contact us to discuss your requirements together with our arrangement and supervision fees. We will keep in close contact with you for the duration of the work by phone and e-mail.
